Join me for a December Book Club

I’m running an online December book club. It’s very casual and divided into chunks to make it easily accessible for everyone. It’s a nice way to end the year as well. The discussion will be hosted through the magazine I run via the social media channels and on the magazine’s website. Here is the initial post explaining the concept:

Yes, Virginia, we’re book clubbing it!

I have no idea if there is even a desire for this but my very unscientific and unempirical research* has lead me to believe that this time of year is the high point for people’s desire to read one or two (or possibly more) of the Brontës.

I too get this itch, especially for The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Brontë, a novel which sits on my shelf judging me for never reading it. Which is truly shameful because I really want to. So let’s have a book club. Get yourself a pretty copy, snuggle up and join me. Here’s the plan:

  1. The book is divided into three volumes. This is perfect for reading and discussing in chunks. Don’t worry, the book isn’t super long either.

    a. Volume 1: 8 December

    b. Volume 2: 15 December

    c. Volume 3 (and final wrap up): 22 December

  2. Each week will be dedicated to one volume (so no spoilers!) and this will allow for an easy schedule, especially if you have other December reads and pleasures on your TBR list.

  3. The discussion will take place here on the website and on our social media accounts. Feel free to join in or just sit on the sidelines soaking it all in.

How does that sound?

I do hope you join me on this reading journey. I can’t wait and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts about the book.
